Hi I've just started work (using NT) and was wondering if my home stereo setup will work using NT at work? I was using Michal Husak's stereo viewer (with Win3D) to view above/below stereo animations. Is NT just as good (if not better) to view these? Thanks Michael Hay |

It will not work in the same way. Winx3D library does not support NT 4. A new version of Winx3D library will support stereo under NT in HW independen modes ( interlaced, sync dubling, anaglyph). Direct3D based games and wrapers will not work at all (NT 4 does not support Direct3D, the reason is low security of Direct X based solutions). NT have excelent stereoscopic support based on OpenGL (for profesional graphic card). See www.stereographics.com for the list ... But this is completly another story ... |

Yes. Iart Eye3D glasses will work excelent with both NT 2 or W2K . Thye can be even be used with the profesional graphic card with VESA minDIN-3 conector (they do not need it ) Thy are HW independent, thay could sync externaly to the monitor signal. The problem are not the glasses but the graphic card drivers. There is no D3D under NT4, it menat that no D3D drivers will work ... Direct Draw is made more stable and is more hack protected - WInx3D will not work ... What works execelent ? Profesional software based on OpenGl, SIN, Quake II (but on such mostrosities as Oxygen GVX1, ELSA Gloria XXL, Fire GL 3 , Wildact series ....) |
