I have system which generates a stereo pair of VGA signals (640x480, 60Hz). My original intent was to display on an HMD, but I would also like the ability to display to a small audience. Can anyone recommend options for doing this? I haven't found any multiplexers that would combine 2 60Hz VGA signals into a single 120Hz signal for display on a PC monitor w/ shutter glasses. Is there anything like that available? Other options? Thanks. |

Why does your system generate 2 signals? Is this a dual-board solution. I think the easiest and cheapest way to go would be to modify the software to use only one board as an output. Basically this is easier than a 2-board solution in the first place. Christoph |

The primary display is an HMD which uses the dual VGA signals (driven by a dual-head board). I want to be able to supply a secondary display which mimics the primary display for demonstration purposes. The scenario is this: a single primary user wearing an HMD has interactive control, a small group of secondary viewers are able to see, in 3D, the exact same thing that the primary user is seeing. Low cost is not my biggest concern. I may have to modify software to do a single output, and then demux for the HMD, but I want to be sure to explore other options first. Steve |

What about two cheap (640x480 should be) beamers with polarizing filters and polarizing glasses for the audience ? |

So what you need is a VGA-multiplexer - which is somewhat unusual. Currently I'm only aware of video-multiplexers, video-demultiplexer and VGA-demultiplexers You should ask companies like Cyviz http://www.cyviz.com 3DTV http://www.3dmagic.com http://www.3dimagetek.com/ and others if they have or plan a VGA-multiplexer. Hi Steve Could you tell us more about your dual head graphics card and which drivers you use? (Brand, model, functionality etc.). Seems like the solution I'm looking for, as I'm experimenting with a dual projector setup. Alex |
