I have this configuration working on my PC. ASUS 2v1d twinview, nVidia 12.41 drivers with softquadro patch, CRT 17" monitor, DTI 2015XLS LCD autostereo display. Stereo works fine, but only on the primary display, and use of openGL stereo forces the twinview into "clone" mode. |

are you using the nvidia stereo drivers then or are you using native opengl stereo on twinview? |

I had a configuration similar to Stefano's - in Win2K. I only got it working with native OpenGL stereo - with left eye view on one VGA port and right eye on the other. Didn't attempt to get page flipping working. Alex |

Yes, mine too works with native openGL stereo. VTK libraries support well pageflipping and interlaced stereo. And DepthCharge works too for side-by-side jps seen on internet. OS is Win2k. I tried installing Detonators 23.11 & 23.11 stereo driver and they seemed to work, but with them my VTK applications crashed the system (reeding the reset button!) so I returned to the "plain" (w/o stereo drivers) 12.41 that seemed safer. |

OK, so what do you need to get this: left eye on one output, right eye on the other output, both outputs at full resolution, progressive scan. I am interested in the new GeForce 4 with dual output. Anyone got this to work? What games do you have it working with? What are the replacement drivers that do the twin view rendering, and where can I find more info on them? Thanks. |

if you want to use the GF4, the only choice for now is hardware modding, softQuadro will not be updated with the new GF4 supporting drivers because they are too tough to crack? More info about hardware modding at: http://www.xbitlabs.com/news/story.html?id=1013385350 and http://www17.u-page.so-net.ne.jp/db4/k-ohashi/Quadro4/ and http://www.tweakhardware.com/guide/quadro-switch/ and http://guru3d.com/rivatuner/ |

So what does the quadro do for us that the GeForce doesn't? Does it support dual scene rendering or something? If I get a dual output card and quadro hack it, is it easy to get right eye on one, left eye on the other? Oh, and isn't the G4MX just a G2 or something? |

What quadro does for stereoscopic purpose: Support standard OpenGl stereoscopic commands = could create both one screen HW page flipped output or dual connector output in this mode. This is the only one stable multiplatform way for in-window or full screen stereo. This mode is optimal for VR application, stereo-video output and stable stereoscopic code development at all. From games unfortunately only Quake 1,2,3 and Sin suppors it ... |

EXCELLENT. Ok, so does Half Life (and Counter Strike) support it (being mostly Quake 1)..? I can see the purchase of a GeForce 4 dual vga in my future. Now, to find a dual input 1024x768 HMD...! |
