What about the possibilty of creating a hmd with at least 60 degrees FOV, 3d, and a TFT (non-projection) LCD display with resolution capability of up to 1600x1200. Of course it would have to be without flaw. I'd buy it!

Sounds like a high end Kaiser SimEye to me... They go about $80,000...

If you built it yourself you could probably get it around the 10,000 dollar range... but you'd have to know a lot of crap.
