hello, back from very long time ago.. i had vfx1, but despite we even did it work with agp video card (even if no one has proved more), but we did !, i had since a pair of virtual 2d glasses, so expect anything, mine are eyetrek olympus, pixellize, but it's okay for movies and games. but for sure lacked the 3d immersion really... until i found the tool for less than 8$ !! and since that i have full 3d stereoscopic view. and having played quake3 and other games, it's really really progress, i'm not newbie in vr, i tested much vfx, but there i assure myself and you if possible that is the fair solution at low cost !!! the system is a head joystick, no longer sold at full price i guess.. the fact it's helmet and you move your head to see what you want, not exactly with a standard pc monitor or else, because if you move you lose the entire view of the picture !, but.. if the screen is moving with you , there you have the 3d immersion !!! it's simple trick and this joystick helmet permits it. so the next step is i destroy the helmet (not confortable), and back up the diodes and captors, to fill them in a new dedicated helmet or anything lighter.. to be with my eye trek olympus. there is no real cyberpuck with (i regret it !, it was fun 3d to give additional infos, there's jut normal buttons on a pad.. , but it's good to see it's one handed. so i will give infos as you wish, and pictures, come see me : fiend41@chez.com, i'm not entire time to get back here often, my current project is to cyberpunk the way i live, im assembling real tools as, ultralaptop and further more to get the wearable attitude. http://www.chez.com/fiend41/ |

just forgot. as the tv out of vga connector delivers pictures or anything from the pc, it works so for all games (just tony hawk2 messed..), and the virtual sense is just as joystick !, so any game that has joystick support will work. and more !!, the virtualsense has mouse support too !!, so moving and looking with head movement in windows is as mouse moves !, the fact there, IF anyone had improved a desktop shell with 3d embedded view, there the real virtuality would be there !!!!! as i said in quake3, i even had stomach problems due to real vr feeling !!, i moved and ran to kill enemies, and i was tracking headly looking them the fastest i could, and it was immersive, as even quake1 with vfx1 couldn't have been better ! |
