Hello, I am trying to get some general open-GL apps to output 2 pipes (stereo) of 1280x1024 FIELD SEQUENTIAL output, from a single card. - What card has 2 hardware outputs that can be synched to the same internal pipeline as this scenario requires? (Or is it best to use two cards in this scenario?). GOAL: I am trying to set-up a viewer to move about and view 3D models (VRML, MAYA, PERFORMER, INVENTOR, etc...). I would like to open up perfly , iv or something on a PC and "see" the model with textures etc, in stereo. The display device (FAKESPACE BOOM-3C) has two (stereo 3d) VGA inputs that expect field sequential 1280x1024 RGB. Can you help me orient to how you or some other people can allow me to achieve this with the greatest flexibility? Thank you for any help you can provide. Mark Read |

You can use following graphic card: Quadro 2 MMX twin view. Quadro 4 700 XL Quadro 4 750 XL Quadro 4 900 XL This graphic card support redirection of standard OpenGl stetresoscopic commands to 2 connectors ... You can theoretilcaly use Wildcat II,III or Wildcat VP as well, unfortunately they do not have direct support for dual connector OpenGl stereo redirection and the problem must be solved by realy non-practical OpenGl viewport manipulation ... The OpenGl viewport manipulation could be used on Matrox and normal GeForce 4 as well eventualy (in twin monitor mode). But I stronlgy suggest to use Quadro -> result will work with both shuterglasses and dual ouptut. |
