I am new to this message board. but I just wanted to say that I have been working on a project with the vfx1. my project involves using NO ISA board. I have been working on a Project that will allow users to fully immerse themselves into any shoot em up games with this body suit connected with the vfx1. and all body movements will be derived into your games. as far as tracking is concerned I have developed a new way to track movements using various Techniques. I am happy to say that the ISA card will no longer be needed instead it will be using an interface box I have created for this project. You have to see this shit I am working on it is really awesome! I will not give out any technical information because it is my own creation and none of my work is protected as of yet and also I should be finished in a couple of months so those really interested I will be selling. Imagine yourself running in your own livingroom and jumping and being able to interact that into whatever game you are playing. using a real full size machinegun in your hands and being able to point and shoot your enemy. you duck for real your ducking in the game for real you run for real your running in the game for real you jump for real your Jumping in your game for real, you get the picture....any questions email me at jtridexter@hotmail.com |

Follow-ups here, I'd suggest... Shall I really ? OK, just in case jtridexter is still watching and not just spamming, so let's take the shortest and oldest thread... j> I am new to this message board... OK, looks like you missed the line on the title page that says 'no cross-posting, please' ? Instead of posting your 'sh^H^Hnews into any remotely (and mostly not even that) discussion thread, you'd better just started a new one in the '3d news' group. Little nitpick on the technical part: j> ...Imagine yourself running in your own livingroom and j> jumping and being able to interact that into whatever game you are playing... Sounds interesting, but considering my personal premises, and being wired with the VFX and a data suit, I'd rather not, thank you (YMMV) ;-) |

Take a look at the thread "VFX1 direct connection with VGA card - it works" - link for schematics of a VFX1 linkbox at the end. |

You sound a little upset about my thread, well let me just say that I did not see the part that said "no cross posting, please" I just wanted people to know what I was working on. also do not take the concept of running in your own living room literally, the person would be running in one place but in the game it would feel like he is really running. also vfx1 and suit would be wireless so there is no way you would be tripping on anything. look, sorry to upset you I just been working on this shit for 6 month and I ran in to this forum and thought you just might liked to know about this project. And for the Anonymous comment I want to say to you that this is something totally different! |

j> I did not see the part that said "no cross posting, please" Well maybe Christoph can do something about this - Aehm - Christoph ? - Christoph - CHRISTOPH ! ANY ONE HOME ? Not that I wouldn't appreciate your work and enthusiasm, but it just would have been better to start a new discussion thread in the 3D news section with a proper subject. This thread would then as well attract all attention it deserved as collected all replies, while now there are replies spread over several of the threads that you posted to, and mixed with responses to the original subjects of those threads. Ah, yes, and one extra big smiley for the running and jumping comment in my first message, in case you missed the typed ;-) j> And for the Anonymous comment I want to say to you that this is something totally different! Well, that's the penalty for hijacking (hmm - I hope that's not a too strong term these days ) other people's discussion threads... Never mind, and better luck next time, Andreas |

Maybe you missed the part that said >>> I AM NEW TO THIS MESSAGE BOARD!..... I really think your making a big deal out of this. A simple next time would of been enough! My advise let it go, relax, smoke some weed. Besides who died and made you gate keeper?......PS>>Try not to burst an artery. |

Sorry, non-smoking :-) And, no, didn't miss it - that's just why I switched to newbie assist mode and tried to give some hints. Don't see anyone upset around here (well, maybe one exception lately...). -- break-- So, VFX, data suit and gun - all wireless ? Sounds amazing, and like a real hell of a work for six months. Running without moving means your suit reacts to moonwalking, or do you use an external kind of jogging machine? I'm sure even more people will become ineterested as soon as you feel safe enough to provide some hard facts and pictures. Peace, brother - and back to my own humble homework, trying to attach a UR gear sensor to my Cyberboy glasses... |

Now we are talking!...its not exactly a suit, its more like body components. And no, it does not work using a jogging machine, it will be using special electronic circuit that will control variety of switches in real time thus eliminating any lag that you might get from digital tracking. the weapon preferably a machine gun will also use the same concept. listen dude, this will be the last response to any more of your threads so, I will send you some rough sketches to give you an Idea of the project. when I'm ready I will post not just pictures but a video of the project..take good care, and I look forward to have you as one of my first costumer! |

Sorry if I have raised any expectations, but it's just pure curiosity that had me ask.. Even if I really wanted one, I'm afraid there's no chance for a 'go' from my private Secretary of Treasury :-( and it's a little harder to get machine guns over here in Europe, too.. |
