I'm at the edge of buying the vrjoy2000 LCglasses
and I was wondering how far do objcts ome out of the screen. In games like Quake3, Unreal, Need For speed, etc... Is it that good?

Seting the object going to far from screen is one
of the bigest nonsense in stereosopy. You can
make the seting whatewer you want, but it will
not work. The human eye check the distanc not only from the different signa for the eyes, but from the accomodation as well . The accomodation is
aways on the plane of the screen => you can get have object about 20 cm in front and inside the screen if you will not get nonence ....

The best performance: Invest 10 000 $ in
a CRT projetor and use it instead of
screen. Or use at least 21' monitor and watch
it from 3m distance. This gives the best
out of screen efect ... The biger is your distance
from monitor the better 3D effect will you get :) (but the biger must be your monitor/projection
plane to see something). Evrything else are minor
troubles ....

That makes a lot of sense. Damn projectors, why are they so expensive?

You can use "long sight" ("hypermetropic"? "+"?) glasses (sorry don't know how to say it in english) to emulate the long distance to monitor surfice.

You are probably right. But will be the result
different from just seeing the screen from bigger distance ?
