Hi out there! I'm trying to get some 3d glasses to work on my Sun Workstation with a Creator3D card. That card uses a standard Din8 plug with 12V, Ground and clock pin. So I thought, controllerless 3D glasses like the VR100 might work.. but does anyone have a pinout of the stereo plug on the Asus glasses? I dont want to rip the glasses open, and trial-and-error doesnt look too promising, considering the cost of the graphics card :o) |

The ASUS VR100 glasses are basically just bare LCD panels, so you will need some additional circuit in between to convert the L/R signal from the Creator3D into the signals needed to drive the panels. See the homebrew parallel port controller for an example (note that the chips must work at 12V, so you need standard 40xx CMOS, no 74xxx TTL). The 3 lines to the VR100 glasses are left and right LCD front and common backplane. |
