What is the difference between "3-D Digital Comb Filter" in the KV-27FV16 and the "3-Line Digital Comb Filter" in the KV-27FS16.Also I wanted to know if that has some relation with the ABAB mode to watch stereoscopic movies and games with shutterglasses or if it has the traditional AABB.

These technologies have nothing to do with stereoscopic 3D. On the contrary. They will destroy the 3D-information from 3D-video tapes in most cases.

The term 3D means nothing nowadays. Remember there are 3D-sportshoes, 3D-toothbrushes, 3D-snacks, 3D-bank-accounts (in germany), 3D-supermarkets (in germany).

OK... so this means there is absolutely no chance to make it work?

Even if it did work, CRTs still have slow Phosphors. Go to SoundTrak and look at the Panasonic DLP TV. It uses mirrors to redirect light, rather than excited phosphors which merely glow leaving a ghosting effect. It seems to me that the DLP TVs would be a far superior method for viewing 3D on a TV to anything out there to date. High refresh rates (110Hz) and absolutely No Ghosting.

Anyone tried this? There will be BIG money for whoever makes 3D on the Panasonic DLP TV work first.

Hmm. So what existing 3D shutter glasses setup would potentially work with the Panasonic TV? Looks like it does 720p, and it says it supports 1080i but it looks like it must downsample 1080i to 720p, as the actual hardware res of the screen is 720p.

A progressive-only scan would relegate it to the page-flipping variety of shutter-3D, unless it can do interlaced as well in 1280X720.

I actually have a broadcast engineering background but I'm just getting into 3D...it'd be cool to make it work!
