Well, I 'upgraded' to XP-Home; built a whole new box to do it 'right'. P4 1.8 GHz, ASROCK G Pro (nice board, made by ASUS, 6 USB 2.0 ports...), and a ASUS V7100 Deluxe Combo. The V7100 DC worked pretty well in ME; nice drivers for TV capture (which I do all the time... even in 3D) and shutter glasses; even a 3D TV driver. Not now. Under XP it took a week to find a driver that worked with SVideo capture (WDM Nvidia 1.08 is the ONLY one that works; newer ones will NOT-- you lose the middle of the picture). The problem is the shutter glasses don't work anymore. The picture viewer locks the system at times. Even if it worked, the zoom feature is gone. There is NO version of the 3D TV driver. I'm looking for help. Asus doesn't answer my e-mails. |

Well, I fixed it. The monitor description file was not right; at the resolution I was using, I couldn't vertically sync beyond 85 Hz; stereo (in the Asus world) requires 100 Hz or more. I dropped the resolution (at 1024x768 I can run 125 Hz...) and everything is fine. No locks, no re-boots and it all works. |
