I have cosistently problems with hacking attacks on my server ... My server was cracked down aftwer 3 days of work by non-succesful hacking attack again during this week. Once th IP is in the hackers datrabase I have problems .. It is an SGI and I have no chance to upgrade the server software to make it more resistent ... Can anybody give me space for trasnfering the complete mirror content of my stereo WWW ? I need about 200MB space, especialy the sample movies are big ... |

Another victim of SGI... I feel for you, we are in the same boat at the university of RI. How do they manage to stay in business, I don't know. Serge. |

Setrge: SGI lives from orders from US army now ... It was not so bad company in the past, the OpenGL standard they developed is excelent (in comparison to the problematic DirectX nightmare)... The IRIX system is totaly unsecure, I have got several fully succesful hacking attack resulting in complete control on my machine in th past :-( . |

btw: i have seen once the 3d-dome of sgi at an exhibition and was very interested in 3d-viewing. they told me they cannot show due to technical problems with shutterglasses... if companies would develop ideas what we need/like at affordable price they would not have to suffer and need to hack.- similar happend with a company unable to show autostereoscopic screen due to technical problems of setup.... |
