Well, I also have this game and the Stereo didn't work in DirectX mode. But, as soon as I switched to OpenGL it worked beautifully! Also, try setting the game in Direct3D, then switch back to OpenGL. Sometimes (for reasons unknown to me) this will usually do the trick. Also, the games looks REALLY great in Stereo 3D (especially if you have a head tracking unit). Move your head to look out the cockpit windows... REALLY fasinating! |

It's not working for me either. At one time though it was working fine, and as I moved up the chain with newer Nvidia revisions the games never switched to stereo again and as a result they both sit on the shelf. What a waste. |

That's odd guys... I have an Albatron GeForce4 4400TI. I've got just the latest drivers installed from the Nvidia website (non-3D). After I installed those, I went to http://download.guru3d.com/detonator/ and clicked on the Nvidia Drivers section. From there, grab the latest 3D Stereo "Control Panel" drivers. Once installed, it won't ask to reset... but do it anyways (won't work until you do). Everything works fine on my end. The 3D Stereo drivers (not just the control panel driver) on the NVidia website is so old. So, you may be using the old display driver but only have the new control panel. |

Well, first off... I use XP Professional. Also, I use the 3D SVGA i-glasses... so I don't usually go over 800x600 32-bit because that's the native resolution for the hardware LCDs within the displays. Anything larger and it starts destorting my image. Also, I've NEVER got it to work in the DirectX mode, only worked in the OpenGL. Here's a setup of what I have: I have DirectX 9.0a installed (verifiable by going to Start Menu, Run, and then type "DXDIAG"). Of course, since I'm using OpenGL mode, this wouldn't really matter. Now, I'll also note that I'm NOT using a legal copy of IL2 (oops... hahaha). Mine is pirated. Secondly, in the game directory you should find an il2setup.exe file. Open it and choose these settings: Provider: OpenGL Full Screen should be chosen Video Mode: 800x600 32 Bit Use Stencil Buffer should be DISABLED (no check) Next, click on the Video tab. Select the "NVidia GeForce 3" from the settings. Now, select OK and exit. Then, launch the game. You'll notice immediately when you enter, as the title screen with shake back and forth (if not in 3D mode). Good luck... |

No this is a stand alone game but the rendering engine and the graphique setup is exactly the same. i have the IL2 Demo and the real IL2 FBattles and this is the same engine with i little bit more detail. the intro is the same, the menu is the same...and this is the same great game that didn t work in 3D |
