I am looking for some information on 3d video clips/scenes. I am planning to do the passive stereoscopic projection with 2 LCD projectors and glasses. I have seen several movies that use this technology and am wondering what makes these "3d" effects happen in this system.

If I were to look for additional HIGH QUALITY clips (abstrat/scenes,etc) on the internet, what exactly type of files would I be loking for? 3d studio max? .3ds? .avi's?

I guess, I am still trying to figure out what makes a clip 3d or 3d , if you understand what I am saying. Some clips can be 3d on a 2d surface. Anyway, I hope people can help me understand.
