I bought the package listed here: http://www.vrealities.com/igsvga.html Well, I talked to the VRealities guy and he was pretty cool, let me haggle the price down a bit considering TigerDirect has the P5 dataglove on clearance sale for $29.99 (item # E138-1000) I should get my package Wednesday... wish me luck -The Seeker- |

This place is begining to sound like a continuous ongoing VRealities ad. |

Man, I paid $100 at TigerDirect for P5, about 5 months ago, what a drag! But it's fun. I've been writing VR programs using directx, my glasses and my glove. See my web page to download some: http://sdeyoreo.tripod.com Click on 3D programs. |

Well, they do have the lowest prices I've seen anywhere for comparable products... (note exception above) I have not endorsed the products or company past personal experience, whih is limited to the phone conversation going over some of the questions I had about what I was interested in purchasing. My descision to puchase from VRealities was based 100% on price for product. For example: http://www.vrimmersions.com/ has similar (though slightly higher) prices, but I was unable to fiind any advertised specials like the one I bought. By puchasing the bundle deal I saved $130 off the listed prices there. I'm not a "fan" of VRealities since this is my first purchase. If there are excessive delays in shipping, defective products, or poor customer service I'll be sure to let you know. I started this thread because I felt I was about to possibly have a place in this community of people, and thought that I might want to try and be at least slightly on topic. |

well, the image is similar to a 24" monitor, but you can't really use windows at resolutions higher than 800x600 (native res of glasses) due to the interpolation of the image. At 800x600 the image is crisp and clear. I've been wearing the glasses for a while with little eye strain, and taking them off for a few moments in an hour is plenty of rest for my eyes. The P5 works very well as a mouse once you find a good ange for the optical tracker. I would like it better if you could assign keyboard events to the buttons or finger sensors... maybe you can, but I haven't found out how. The head tracker works pretty well too, but the control is either a little jumpy, or the cursor coasts a little after you stop moving. I'm still trying to try and think of an application for the end-user that would make it worth the expense. Perhaps with a more professional VR setup it would be worth the cost. I'm still looking atound for my CD binder that has my games in it since I haven't gotten around to re-installing a lot of stuff yet... All in all, good products, but probably not quite worth what I paid for them considering what I'll use them for. well, except the P5. if you can find one for under $50 I'd say but it. |

Hi Seeker, could you give me a "heads up" on how the text looks on your i-glasses? I'm interested in using them for -don't snicker too much... programming! 800 x 600 is what I'm looking for but a lower res would do if it is clear enough! TIA! |
