OK, I got my "Another I's" wireless shutter glasses in the mail yesterday and have been playing with them. Below is my review. Software: First, the glasses don't come with any game drivers so you will need VRCaddy or GLDirect. GLDirect doesn't support my video card so I could only try VRCaddy, and in demo mode at that. It worked really well. But VRCaddy will add an extra $20 for Win98/ME and another $20 for WinXP. But it does work good. The bundled software is pretty slick. It includes a 3D picture viewer, a 3D picture maker, a 3D video viewer, and a cool 3D browser VRML type viwer. But lets face it, most of us are in it for the games! I wonder if this software will work with other glasses? I may keep a copy and find out. I would have given them a 9 out of 10 for the bundled software but with no included games drivers I have to give them a 3 out of 10. Hardware: The glasses themselves are nice. Big honking LC panels give a wide field of view compared to my old 3DTV visor. The clearish plastic panel in front of them distorts the picture a little but not too bad. I could certainly live with it. They are kinda heavy but again, I didn't find this a problem and wore them for an hour. I use the included removable nose piece even though I don't wear glasses (it makes them more comfortable). The VGA passthrough and keyboard passthrough installed in about 30 seconds. Very easy. The IR sender is very small and has two buttons for Mode and L/R, which is needed when viewing some interlaced pictures (switches the left/right mode). I give them a 9 out of 10 for hardware! Caveats: The glasses only support line-blanking (don't they call that "Interlaced Mode"?). I don't think it will do page flipping. Line-blanking is OK but you do loose resolution doing that. My next glasses will do both. But it does look pretty good. Things really pop-out at you! Overall: They are pretty slick. Once you go wireless you will never go back! They are supported by VRCaddy and I assume other types of drivers so I have to give them the thumbs up. I may sell them for what I paid for them so I can try other glasses. I'm most interested in the "E-D Glasses" who claim to have drivers for non-nvidia cards (I have the ATI Radeon 9700). I already have those drivers and now will buy the glasses to see. Anyone want some "Another I's" for $41 US plus shipping? (what I paid. I do Paypal.) I guess that is what ebay is for ;-) Till my next review, keep your stick on the ice. ....SamualT |

###The glasses only support line-blanking They should sync to interlace and page-flipping too. ###(don't they call that "Interlaced Mode"?). No. Line-blanking isn't real interlace, it's artificial interlace. ###Once you go wireless you will never go back! I did! Christoph |

###Once you go wireless you will never go back! I did! Any particular reason why you like wired over wireless? Just wondering...Sam |

- wired glasses always run at full efficiency, i.e. no battery voltage issues - no battery costs - no IR-interference-issues - there are wired glasses, which are lighter and more comfortable than most wireless glasses. Christoph |
