Hello, does anybody know a good (=reliable and experienced)supplier for 3d front projection foil. I only found steward with over $800 sqm and and Da-lite with $170. What I need is a rollable silverscreen foil and that can be papered to a wall for a friends 3D setup. Can anybody help? cheers Sam |

During the next few days, my company - PORRMANN&AWATER - will offer a new robust 3D front projection foil via internet. Although it is much cheaper than the competitive products you named above, the foil is of high quality standart. Together with Christie Digital System, which is a fan of our products and business partner since years, we made countless customer demos with always the same screen. It still works! If you need more infos now, please contact 3dinfo@porrmann-awater.com. sincerly -Thomas |

The 'shop' will start at July,28,2003 but, if you want, you can order now at 3dinfo@porrmann-awater.com or ask your questions. The price is Euro 99.50/sqm + VAT + transport. But we will do fixed sized foils for 4:3, 5:4 and 16:9 formats at a reasonable price. Thanks for your kind interest -Thomas |

Today I got a mail of Porrmann&Awater about their new silver screen material. They stated that they have an updated version of the silver surface and that the new screen material has a polarization ratio of 66:1. If this is true the new foil is better than a Steward Silver Screen. cheers -Sam |

As Thomas (Porrmann&Awater) told me yesterday, the new material is the same in quality of the old one, the new one is rated to cover the fire regulations in germany, but the material is the same, The material have a little texture that is visible at close range but in a normal projection distance you can't see anything, The material Looks very promising and the cost is very competitive against stweart and other brands. You can be sure that is the best option for a low cost "silver" screen. This guys offers an excellent customer support, Go with them. Jorbedo |

Guys, here is my succes report: Finally, I bought the silver screen from Porrmann&Awater. The material is great and as they promised very very stable! I never saw such a solution anywhere. The extinction is beautiful, gain is pretty good for that kind of screens, and, without any problems until now, I sticked the screens white side to a wooden board and have a fantastic, movable hard board screen now. Costs were $622 for 6.5'x9'screen material, transfer was very fast, package was great and the technical support is incredible good. Not they only seem to know anything about hardware, they are also hard working guys doing 3D real time productions. They took the time explaining any of my questions. I strongly recommend that very professional company, their 'SilverFabric' screen, being more than thankfull for your link to that guys. BTW, the correct mail address is info@silverfabric.com. Great Forum here! |
