Hi, I have been thinking in converting 2d footage to 3d using Aura2.5, Combustion 2 or After Effects. I would get the initial frame of a concrete sequence, select the different layers, make the program autodetect the layers through the timeline and then separate the layers in a 3d scene (these programs let you do this). After having done this you can set left-right cameras of the scene and resize the layers to avoid blank spaces in the background.
I need opinions to know the faults of this method. It is like the shifting method for video.
Hasn't anybody tried to do it before? :-)
