Hi all I am keen to play 3d games unsing two LCD projectors. As we know the Nvidia 3d Stereo drivers generates left eye view then a right eye view which are synched to shutter glasses so that only the right eye sees the right eye picture and the left eye the left eye picture. This gives a real 3d sense to the images. Is it possible in a driver hack to catch the left eye info and send to one monitor output and the right to the other? If so why then would genlock be an issue? Using polorised sheets the right eye signal would be separated from the left. Light loss could be compensated for - in software, screen, ambient light.... |

Some VGA to TV scan converters NTSC ( borrow don't buy to test tell vendor what your up to maybe he'll let you return it if it doesn't work ) can output field sequential stereo video to TV out. You could use this to feed a video stereo demultiplexer to run TV mode on your projector pair. Apart from this the other problem is because the scan converter isn't genlocked with VGA card the stereo would reverse left right views every few seconds constantly. So may not be a good solution. |

> I am keen to play 3d games unsing two LCD projectors. I have it working for all direct-x games. I used the more3d-driver, which is specialized in this job. go to http://www.more3d.com -> ask them for a private licence if you need it for yourself @home. |

Thanks for the response guys. Excellent idea bjorn. What is your setup? Interested, as Anonymous's information seems to point to a few problems and I would not like to invest in kit unless it works. But then I think Anonymous's relates to TV/DVD converts but I only intend to feed from a PC... By the way I'm the 3rd message down in this thread Any thoughts |

Peter, You might want to try the method with the "normal" Nvidia stereo drivers and nView described by Ray Price in this thread: http://www.stereo3d.com/discus/messages/24/1164.html? Apparently it's working, though I haven't tried it myself lately. I got it working back then, 1 1/2 years ago, but stopped due to lack of projectors and silver screen material. ...and due to lazyness, I guess. Maart has a working setup based on this solution - see thread: http://www.stereo3d.com/discus/messages/21/1179.html? Alex |
