Please, help me!!! I`m writing an article about the history of Virtual Reality and I need some information, which I lack. If you know something (Internet links, photos, info) about the stuff I need, please, send me to the akuji1@list.ru, or post it here. First of all, I need the info about:  VPL Data Gloves. I know, VPL Research has made several versions of them, and I need the info about them and their differences between each other.  Dexterous Handmaster exoskeleton. I have its description, but I need, if its possible, the history of its manufacturing  Virtuality Entertainment Systems: Space glove. It’s the glove, which was used in the Virtuality Pods. I have some info about it, but it isn’t very detailed  Motion Orchestration Systems: the info about their suit and glove  Nissho SUPERGLOVE (improved Japanese version of VPL Data Glove) That’s all about the gloves. Now about the HMD’s:  NASA HMD projects  VPL EyePhone. There are 3 models (EyePhone, EyePhone LX, EyePhone HRX). I need the info about all of them  Info about the development of VictorMaxx Stuntmaster. I need as many info about it as possible. Especially I need the history of development of that HMD (Do you know, that VictorMaxx didn’t made it. It was made by the Future Vision Technolgies and VictorMaxx licensed it)  Kaiser Electro-Optics VIM 1000HRpv & VIM 500HRpv info.  Info about Liquid Image HMD’s, especially about their differences.  Nissho Electronics Eyephone info  n-vison Datavisor LCD, DV-4  Any information about Siemens Global Pl@yer, its specifications (I know, that it’s still the prototype and, maybe, will newer see the world, but I NEED THEM). Maybe some of you were on CeBIT 2001 and had the possibility to try it, I ask you to write your impressions.  I need to know the differences between the Virtual Research VR4 & VR4000. I know (thanks to stereo3d.com ;-)), that VR4000 is "rugged arcade version of VR4", but maybe there are another differences???  The history of development of Nintendo Virtual Boy. I have the photo where early Virtual Boy prototype was in helmet-like view (with additional joystick; same view as in Tiger R-Zone), that’s why I think, that it’s history was very interesting.  Oh, I’ve forgot: THE INFO ABOUT NOT RELEASED SEGA HMD !!! LCD shutterglasses:  Pioneer Laseractive googles  Sega 3D glasses  Nintendo Famicom (NES) 3D googles (I think, they are quite similar to the Pioneer Laseractive googles)  StereoTek Atari ST glasses Maybe it’s all now :-))))). Now about the photos. I need quite big (640 x 480 and higher) photos for my article. I need the photos of all products, that I listed above. Also I need such photos: Sutherland’s HMD (1968), Takara (Retinal Displays) Dynovisor, Philips Scuba, Cybermaxx, I-glasses (original), FOHMD, Mattel Power Glove, Power Glove linkbox, Haitex X-Specs 3D (for Amiga), 3DTV Corp. AMI VR (for Amiga). I thank you for you help and wish you good luck! Thanks. P.S. Buy the way, if you ever had such best-of-all computer as Amiga and used it for making some VR system (hardware, software, games), please, send me your impressions and results. I’ve written the firs part of "Virtual Reality and Amiga" article and now I’m writing the second part. Though it was written in Russian (I’m Ukrainian), if you want, I can spend some time and translate it for you. Also in the future I’ll write the articles: "VR and Mac", "The history of Stuntmaster HMD" and "The history of Atari Jaguar VR HMD", and maybe will translate them, if you want. Thank you once again. |
