I have read a few online reviews, and it seems Mickey's PhilharMagic (Disney World Florida only at this time) might be the new state-of-the art for a 3D theater. Anyone here try it yet? It seems to be a combination of big-screen 3D, wrap around, water, air and smell effects, but on a bigger scale than any IMAX or IWERKS theater to date. |

Air and water in Disney 3D aren't really new. I saw a few some years ago. One was Alien Adventure, mist and breezes included. Pretty cool.My memory of it now is as real as if it really happened! |

No, they aren't new. Alien Adventure, Honey I Shrunk the Audience, It's Tough to be a Bug, and Muppet Vision 3D all use them, along with Pirates at the Sea World parks. Of course Spiderman at Universal Islands of Adventure uses them on a ride. The difference is this is a whole lot bigger. The only place I remember smell effects was the Ford simulator at the now closed Spirt of Ford. New car smells at the 'Factory'. |

I been on Mickey's Philarmagic several times it's great. What really makes the show is the huge screen they use and the very high quality video and 3d effect used. They make use of smells which is very different from their previous 3d productions. I really like philarmagic over Shreck 4d at Universal studios orlando. Th 3d is so crisp and real feeling for cartoons and donald as the main character is funny as hell. A must for anyone in Orlando area. |
