I made a few shortmovies a few yeears back with two synced DV video cameras.

I used winx3d ans win3dvideo to watch the movies with my H3d/wicked3d glasses.

I've dusted of those old CDroms with the movies on and now i cant find winx3d on the net.

How can i watch 3dmovies on win XP adn h3d glasses?

Thanks in advance, Anders

Winx3D was aquired by X3D and is no longer available.

Maybe you want to take a look at my player at http://mitglied.lycos.de/stereo3d. If your shutterglasses controller supports sync-doubling you can use the players over / under viewing method. Quadbuffered OpenGL is supported too.

Ok, think the h3d/wicked 3d eyesream only support interleaved? Bye the way, the movie is saved in divx with the left picture and right picture next to eachother (this was the fileformat for the win3dvideo player i used when i made this movies).

Here's a couple more options. To watch your parallel video in the line-blanking mode (interleaved), you basically need to convert the pair to the interleaved format. Although the StereoMovie Player freeware http://www3.zero.ad.jp/esuto/stvply/indexe.htm will do this on-the-fly, your small res movie will have a really small image size. An alternative is to use VirtualDub, upsample the size a bit (640x480 will look okay) and save it as an interlaced movie. Here's how:

1) Add the "Deinterlace" filter and "Fold Side-By-Side Fields Together".

2) Add the "Resize" filter change it to the size you want. Put a check in the "Interlaced" box.

You then have a bunch of viewing options, but you have to turn on your shutterglasses to the line-blanking mode, then open the video in a player without deinterlacing it. This can usually be done to typical media players like Windows Media Player, RealOne or DVD software players in teh "weaved" mode like PowerDVD by disabling your hardware acceleration, and watching the video at 100%, only. For a higher res, use a lower display setting, like 640x480 or 800x600.
On my PC with XP, I disable my system's hardware acceleration by right clicking on the desktop, then going to "Properties" > "Settings" > "Advanced" > "Troubleshoot", and moving the slider to "None". I usually leave the "Troubleshoot" window open in the background (or hidden by clicking on "Show Desktop" in the taskbar) while I'm viewing a video, then move the slider back over to "Full" when I'm finished. I set my PC display to 640x480 by right clicking on the desktop, then going to "Properties" > "Settings" > "Advanced" > "Adapter" > "List All Modes", and selecting "640x480, True Color (32 bit) 85 Hertz".

The easiest way is to use the StereoMovie Maker program by the same author:
http://www3.zero.ad.jp/esuto/stvmkr/indexe.htm
Opening two separate videos is self-explanatory.
The other mentioned program (StereoMovie Player) works better as a media player, but the videos have to already be in a paired format.
You can also open a pair of separate videos in VirtualDub, but it requires an AviSynth script.

PKK

3DCombine www.3dcombine.com, can be used to play your movie in interleaved form from whatever format it is in. Set the vertical zoom to 0.5 though when playing interlaced output.
