Having just bought a new monitor for stereo (Iiyama VisionMaster Pro 514) I am wondering if I can buy quality shutter-glasses compatible with the NVidia stereo driver. My Revelators are OK for my main interest (fungi and botanical images) but when looking at scenes with black backgrounds (such as the amazing images at GioFX.net) the ghosting is bad. Are the Crystal Eyes far better in this respect ? I am not bothered if they are WORTH the cost just whether such glasses are noticeably better. |

The Crystal Eyes glasses are better than revelators ,they have bigger and clearer lcd panels. No they are not WORTH the cost(10 to 40 times the cost off revelators) for non pro use. If there is ghosting with revelator glasses there still ghosting with Crystal Eyes glasses (even if they seem to have a better synchro "no blueish zone at the bottom offthe screen"). |

Yup, ghosting is always going to be there in high contrast/stereo separation images in either line-blanking or page-flipping modes. BTW, field sequential anaglyphs or on-the-fly conversion to anaglyph show the same amount of ghosting, so this is _not_ caused by the shutterglasses! Something like images with very white smoke with a very black background is the worst I have seen... almost impossible to deal with. P. K. > If there is ghosting with revelator glasses > there still ghosting with Crystal Eyes glasses Thanks, that is what I needed to know. > BTW, field sequential anaglyphs or on-the-fly conversion to anaglyph show the same amount of ghosting, so this is _not_ caused by the shutterglasses! OK, that leaves John Hart's favourite method .... two flat displays and a mirror ! (I am not micky-taking, John !) |

If you need no ghosting use page flipping through DLP projector. In combination with good glasses (I use NuVision 60 GX) the ghosting is realy zero. But ther is still the problem with normal DLP low refreshrate ... |
