"Getting Into Sync - A Metered Sync Shepherd in Real Time" ... a stereoscopic 3D video segment: http://www.puppetkites.net/parallel.htm Here's an anaglyph screenshot: http://www.puppetkites.net/index.html That's a "Sync Shepherd" closest to you, designed by Rob Crockett, for evaluating the sync of two cams (a stereoscopic 3D "dual rig"). The shrink wrap is what's making the strange reflections in this video clip. Here's instructions showing how to make one: http://pages.sbcglobal.net/rcrock/syncshep/index.html The voltage meter is hooked up to it, and in this video segment there's a very good sync... close to perfect, but as you can see in real time, it's progressively getting worse. After about 10 minutes, my cams will be beyond 1.0 volts or about 1/500th of a second off-sync. I can turn one cam off and on until I get another "usable" sync. Notice the top LED of the Sync Shepherd is lit, and that indicates a very good sync, but the voltage meter shows exactly how good (or bad) it is. -- P. K.
