OK, so let's get things going here....

Just found a link at stereovision.net (yes, they _are_ back!) to a H3D Terminator review at VoodooExtreme :
http://www.voodooextreme.com/article.taf?articleID=119
The author was told to get the latest drivers from Wicked3D - and apparently, they worked ! Now, did he already test the new universal dongle, or do they also work with the original Terminator dongle ?

As far as I was told the original Terminator only understands I-O-Dispay-System-color-code, not classic H3D/eyeSCREAM color code.

Question is: what kind of code is in the latest Wicked3D update?

What happens if you have the Terminator-CD-ROM with I-O code and you update it with a file which contains H3D-code? Will the resulting wrapper use I-O or H3D -code?
If the Wicked3D update file is really 'smart' it will retain the color code of the Driver-CD which is in the drive.
Wicked3D should do updates which can be used with any CD and switch to required color code.

If I remember correctly I once used the i-Art CD with an update from the Wicked3D site and the result was H3D-code. The i-Art code was gone.

From the business view it's reasonable that each OEM-version requires it's own OEM-update.

All updates downloaded from Wicked3D, including the latest W3D2k, worked fine with my H3D/EyeScream controller.
Once upon a time, the line codes could be changed via registry settings, but now the different codes seem to be hard-coded into the driver.
I'm also surprised that I-O and i-Art CDs passed the Wicked3D CD check...
