To create a stereoptic experience in the spirit of spending as little $ as possible, I want to convert an affordable HMD (like Innovatek V490, I-Glasses IO, or an Eye Trek) into a stereo display. I believe most of these low-end, head-mounted displays contain 2 seperate monitors, (1 for each eye), but are only wired with a single RCA or S Video input which distributes one signal to both monitors. I would like to split the input, creating seperate L and R channels. I wish to display 2 signals (L and R) from a dual camera setup. Can anyone verify the innards of these cheap glasses? Has anyone attempted to alter an HMD for dual input? would appreciate any tips, thanks |
