Somebody on Ebay is selling some DVDs and a list of 'converted' films: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/ebayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=6301216261 His link is: http://users.esc.net.au/~xenon/3D/living1.htm Anyone know anything about 'Living 3D'? I've never even heard of it. |

It's a term this particular seller is using for "fake" 3-D conversions probably by using a realtime 3-D conversion box... I can't remeber the name. It is interlaced format but the final result is not stereoscopic as effects are limited to the amount and direction of movement that occurs within the image. Apparently some people are buying into what this seller is offering and it really makes me wonder how many eyes they actually have or brains for that matter. This particular seller is not only selling illegal copies, but also giving a bad representation on what true 3-D is. The Jaws disc is probably just another VHD bootleg that's been floating around. |

Matt summarizes "Living 3-D" pretty well. Besides my brief take on it (CRAP), here is a direct link to the seller's website: http://users.esc.net.au/~xenon/3D/3dliving.html With 2D to 3D systems, it doesn't matter if the original was shot in stereoscopic 3-D, as ANY 3-D effect is random or unintentional. Along with these fake conversions of what were once true 3-D films in theaters, he is also selling conventional titles, now converted to "Living 3-D". Evil Dead, War of the Worlds, etc etc ..now in FAKE ..oops! .. I mean .."Living 3-D"!! |
