Hi,
I have installed the two 61.76 drivers from Nvidia. I am trying to get anaglyph to work first of all, but it doesn't work.

I am using an LCD screen, but from what I read this is OK for anaglyph.

My graphics card is a Geforce 4 MX440, which I thought can be made to work, but perhaps this is the problem.

When I go to Nvidia analog display and run the setup and test app, it says 'no hardware accelerated direct-3d devices were found that can render into a desktop window at the current display settings.'

If I run half-life, and pick Direct3d or OpenGL for video modes it seems to work fine, but I was expecting a red and blue image to appear, but it just looks like normal 2d.

Any ideas?

Also if I get this going, and I use the TV-out as my display, will shutterglasses work with this?

Thanks.

Sounds like you may have an older version of DirectX. The Stereo test app needs at least DX8.
What are you running?
Also when you run a DX game do you have stereo enabled and use CTL-T to turn it on?
Of course, I assume you went to the stereo control panel and have selected Anaglyph type stereo.

Hello, thanks for your reply.
I have DX9 installed now, (although I think I was on DX7 when I first tried.)
I had anaglyph stereo set to always on - I've changed it to ctrl-T. If I try ctrl-T in the game, I can see the screen shift a little when I press it, but it's not 3D.

If I change to the shutterglasses setting, during the game the screen flickers so it looks like with a crt monitor and shutterglasses this would work.

Maybe half-life doesn't support anaglyph? But I thought it was all done by the drivers.

Hey! I just got it working! I had to change the video mode in the game from Direct3D to OpenGL and anaglyph works ok. Thanks for your help.
