Best in what sense? Stereo? Plot? Action? When you say 'passive projection', I assume you mean red-blue anaglyph. Almost any DVD intended to be used with shutterglasses (interlaced stereo) can be projected as an anaglyph, if you have a 'fast' computer (P4 running 1+ GHz) Peter Wimmer's great Stereoscopic Player can convet in real time, and any good Nvidia card and properly installed drivers one can choose anaglyph stereo output. The result; color anaglyphs from the shutterglasses movie. It works. If you want a list of the best anaglyphs, or the best DVD's in general, I can list my opinions. |

You can use Stereoscopic Player to play any fieldsequential DVD with a passive projection setup. My personal favorit is the German PAL edition of "Haunted Castle" from ColorCode3D (it includes a fiedlsequential version). In general, the IMAX PAL DVDs are much better than IMAX NTSC, since no pulldown is needed for PAl, which works really bad with fieldsequential content. |
