http://www.i-glassesstore.com/iglassespc-3d.html http://www.i-glassesstore.com/ig-svga3dpro.html Besides the $300 difference. Are these OLEDS, LCD, or active matrix LCD? Am I right assuming that the pixel count of the cheaper one is not 1.44 million as it's not mentioned in the product description? Someone mentioned that the I-Glasses is OLED but I don't find it mentioned on the site. John |

And 26 deg diagnal. What does that translate to in terms of FOV? John |

70" at 13'. Does that translate to 51.85 deg? horizontal FOV? I'm currently at 120" at 8' which if my math is correct translates to a 90 deg horizontal FOV. Am I doing the geometry right? John |

Why doesn't anybody ever answer the good questions like these? |

Well since no one is answering for you...the difference is that the pro models have a much higher contrast ratio. The original's display appears a little washed out. Also there is no translation required in the FOV. The display only fills 26 deg. of your approximately 160 deg. vision. They say that it looks like a 70" screen at 13' (because that's the focal distance)but IRL it feels about like a 17" screen from 2' (being generous). Any other questions? |

Thanks for the answer. 2' from a 17" screen kinda sucks. I think my best bet would be to get another X1 projector and set up passive stereo. It should be about time for them to start hitting the used market. It doesn't look like an HMD is going to give me the FOV I enjoy with a projector. John |

Your welcome. I enjoy my I-Glasses enough...but I think that projectors are the best option for the time being. I'm trying to harass some optometrists online to see if I can get some contact lenses that would solve my little FOV problem. Of course I'm also a big supporter of microvision. They're the future for personal displays. Anyway, glad I could help. |
