I need to make 3D advertisment display. Can it be done by just taking photo, converting it by software to 3D(any freeware suggestions?), printing it with regular printer and putting lenticular plastic sheet in front of it(can anybodu suggest best one!?) What have I missed and must notice in this process? Thanks in advance... |

Elementary web search will reveal to you a whole industry of lenticular (3D) print. You cannot do it yourself (unless you are very technically skilled, and have a lot of time and money to spend). Regarding content, it is by far superior to prepare it 3D in the source, rather than convert 2D content to 3D content. |

Itsikw: With modern ink-jet printers at 1200 DPI resolution, it is no problme to do very good lenticulat 3D prints at 60 LPI at home. I had done several one at 18x24 cm size, put the foil on them and the result is perfect. It is neccesary to use good printer and 240g/m2 photopaper to avoid image deformation ... My company is buying material and use software from this source: http://www.3deasy.de/ For 2D-3D conversion we use Stereographics Syntha Gram Content Creation kit with good results ... The ouptu from this software coudl be used for as a source for 3D - Easy SPACE and hi-quality lenicular printing .... |

There is so many things to know, so much know-how to make a good image... Ask yourself some questions first : How many samples do I need ? How much depth ? How large is my image ? Is it to be viewed by one still person or many moving ones ? Can my product stand low quality or is it a luxury one with high standards ? ... |

Does anybody know where is it possible to buy bigger lenticular plastic sheets (with or without) matching software? |

paul: http://www.3deasy.de/ If I remeber O.K. the maximal size they offer under request is 70 cm ... You must E-mail them a special request ... For what reason do you need big one ? For big size it is very complex to match the foil with the source .... |
