I've been trying to get Hitman working with VRCaddyME, but the settings that give a decent stereo effect cause the mouse pointer and other 2D objects become separated by like half the screen width for each eye. If anyone has gotten it to work well, could you post the ini file? Thanks. |

That problem cannot be fixed at the moment. That problem is caused by wrong(for VRCaddyMe) placed objects. The developer decided to put the pointer far closer than other objects in the scene. VRCaddyMe uses the distance(z-coord) to make 3D but it cannot modify the data. If they used 2D(no z-coord) pointer, it would have been easily fixed. |

try adjusting the HUD settings in VrcaddyMe, it helped me get tachyon to work. Play with the Hudnear and hudfar values. This sort of repositions user controled objects (like stats and weapons) I would think that the pointer is considered a HUD item, playing with the HUD settings will allow you to adjust that. Set it so the depth level is low, and gradally adjust the popout and depth settings until it comfortable. the more depth or popout you have, the narrower the screen gets. you either have the depth, or one of the popout settings, or both, set too high! reduce the depth until the screen is the proper width, and then, gradually make it deeper. once the depth is good, adjust the popout, to make the nearest objects pop out of the display (barely). if it looks messed up, adjust the hud near & far until it's perfect. -Eric L. |

The HUD near/far plane does not work for Hitman however. Technically, Hitman uses "Untransformed" vertices. In this case, HUD near/far does not work. I'm sorry for the confusion but Direct3D is really complicated API. Hi, Eric. How did you make Tachyon work with VRCaddyMe? Of course it works but I got wrong 3D. I could not get the good 3D effect with Tachyon. If you don't mind, can you post the ini file for Tachyon on www.vrcaddy.com discussion forum? It will help others. |

Sure, I just have to finish tweaking it a bit. I noticed the Hud near/far settings also played around with the depth level of the ships. Really bizarre. I'm still experiencing problems with it, but I'm working on the problem... The problem with Tachyon is, when you get it working in stereo, it will look fine when you are in the hangar, checking out the ships and such, until your ship leaves the hangar and you actually fly the mission, then the stereo goes all wonky ^_^ I suppose I'll just have to tune the settings so that the gameplay looks good. Everything else is seccondary I suppose. After I've gotten it to work relatively well,I'll be sure to post it. -Eric L. |
