Hi, there is a program called virtualTV that shows you a normal TV program in 3D. How does it work? I think it takes a picture a few frames ago for the left eye and the current for the right eye. That´s why they say that the effect is good for movies with a lot of movement. But how many frames are between the pictures? And if movedirection in the movie changes, does the program automatically switches the to pics so eyes get the right picture? Does it try to guess how the distance between the to pictures is and this way determine which to frames to take? Greetings, Alex |

Don't know virtualTV, but I am almost sure, that the ASUS Live Video software does something similar. I've tried to watch a monoscopic movie in Live Video, and I'm sure I saw some depth. It looked a lot like a Pulfrich type stereo vision - which isn't surprising, as it probably does the same thing: delaying the vision of one eye. Alex |
