My CRT TV packed up a few weeks back, Forcing me to buy a new LCD, I used to use my Virtual FX box with my CRT Television, and i wasn't sure it would work, because i found many sources that said it would not. So instead of believing what i had found, i decided to Experiment, My Virtual FX Box works perfectly with my Philips 32PFL5604H/12, in 2D-3D mode, but doesn't seem to work in 3DInput-3DOutput mode. The Quality is REALLY BAD, but it does work. Am i going to have to replace my LCD TV if i want to experience HD 3D? Or will someone create some kind of converter Box for me like the Virtual FX, for Progressive Frame/Interlace/De-Interlaced Input and Output? I don't want to have to buy a new TV, knowing that i have bought the "wrong" one, and feel like i am being punished for buying the wrong one, by being Deprived of 3D, if i keep my current one. |

There is a list of 3D compatible TVs here: http://www.3dmovielist.com/3dhdtvs.html These are in preparation for the new 3D Blu-rays in development, and will work with field-sequential 3D DVDs when connected to a PC using Stereoscopic Player and also gaming. I'm sorry, but I do think you will need a new TV if you really want 3D. |

Couldn't i buy some kind of conversion Kit w/ a "ChequerBoard Polarizer" There is this guy who suggests such a principe here on this site http://www.soft.lt/hardware/lcd/. ^^READ THIS The new 3D Ready TV's i think we can safely Assume will work on either two 3D principles, Polarization of Shutter Glasses. If the new "3D ready" TV's work on the polarization principle, one would assume a simple Conversion Film, glued VERY CAREFULLY in place should convert my Display to 3D. (A polarizer will twist the phase of the light, but you will slightly lose some light transmission in the procces) Whatever Polarization Config, these "3D Ready" TV's use it must be possible for me to use some kind of upgrade. Unless there using some kind of Hyper-eloborate, Rediculously OTT, Photon Level Polarization Matrix, which frankly if it turns out to be the case is really annoying, Iritating, and soul destroying for me at the same time. (IF, coupled with the realisation, that the new 3D Blu-Ray Discs work on some kind of Elaborate System that has some Cringly Prententious Name. This really means A LOT to me, i don't want to feel like i have waisted my money. I need SOME HOPE. And as for shutter response time, my LCD can handle the Shutter Response time of my Virtual FX box easy, running at both 50hz and 60hz.} **PS** There was this guy who was working on this gadget that is effectively a 1080p, 720p Virtual FX BOX, at the DigInfo News 2007 Showcase. 2 Years, No Release Date set ??
