I've been taking 3D stereo digital photos using two identical digital cameras. How can I view them on my PC in 3D?

I've been taking 3D stereo digital photos using two identical digital cameras. How can I view them on my PC in 3D?}

First, you need some glass. Whether it is anaglyph (red-cyan), the lowest quality, or LCD stereoglass, if you have CRT style monitor, or the latest => than 120Hz LCD (flat) monitors, or if you are rich, some high quality HMD.

Then you either photosphop the two picture next to each other and rename the combination to whatever.jps (instead of .jpg), or use the (free) program Stereophotomaker (http://stereo.jpn.org/eng/index.html)to combine the two pictures (which allows you to make anaglyph too, if you have nothing better).

If you are totally rookie in the subject, you will have to read up on some of this stuff. Chris's website (this one) is the best in the world in my opinion), I follow it over a decade (sheesh....:-). He is the MASTER of 3d, although it seems he got kind of tired of it (active participation here).

Actually, if you can print out the two pictures, or display it left-right on your monitor, theoretically you can view in stereo without ANY processing or gadget with the so called "cross-eyed" method. I don't know how to explain it, although I know how to do it. The result is tiring, but as I said, you can do it without any software or hardware.

Got a spare 60 bucks? Look up and buy the Minoru3d webcam. I just bought it a couple of month ago. In my humble opinion it is great, you get free software with it, works without a glitch.
Look it up at www.minoru3d.com. I think that is the cheapest, and for the cost the best way to start experimenting with the 3d technology.
Although 90 bucks on their website, but I got it for 60 on amazon.com (brand new).

You can also upload them to 3D photo sharing sites like http://phereo.com/ and view from their pages in different modes.
