I am trying to find out if the Nu-View 3D Adapter will work with Canon XH A1 (http://www.canon.co.uk/for_home/product_finder/camcorders/high_definition_hd/XH_A1/index.asp). I guess I will need an adapter-ring as the filter thread size on my HD camcorder is 72mm. But will this somehow hurt or damage the footage?

I was also wondering about the available projection methods for the ready footage.

As I understand it, to use 2 DLP projectors with liner polarization filters (a home-brew) a special signal splitter (APEC) is required, is that right? However I have not been able to find such a device on the net and what would its price be?

Also can the ready footage be projected directly by a single 3D projector for example(like OPTOMA HD600X 3D HD Ready projector) and be viewed with passive polarization glasses (low cost)? Or do I misunderstand the concept completely and it requires active shutter glasses by all means when using a projection on a silver screen?

I’m a newbie to this so please excuse any ignorance on my part. Any help will be really appreciated!

The Nu-View really only works well with cameras that have a smaller lens diameter, as the optics inside the Nu-View are small. Any camera with more than 37mm lens filter ring will require you to zoom the lens. You 72mm dia. lens is pretty much useless with the Nu-View. Sorry...

Thank you for the quick answer. It's too bad it wont work. I just saw that the model was discontinued as well.
But what of the the Stereocam adapter? If I get a smaller camera will I be able to project the footage via the passive method(with passive polarizes for the projectors and passive glasses)?
