Hi, I'm looking for the right kind of monitor to play 3D games. Which specs should I focus on?

Currently I'm using AOC Spectrum 7Glr.

Also, I have an Asus V6800 Pure 64 meg RAM video card.

Iiyama has some monitors in their range of products with very high refresh rates.

I posted a message but it went to
lala land.. Here it is again.
Got my CTX 21inc monitor on the
general recommendation of the Eye3d
rep. on this board (Kenny ?). Besides
the minor annoyance of not display
dos text upon booting which I found
a work around for it by switch the monitor
off and on again, the CTX is exceptional in
color reproduction, pinpoint sharp focus
at all for corners and thruout the screen
at 1940x1600x32 with excellent focus text.
High contrast and highest refresh rate of
all 21 in mon. out there, well except for
the Eizo 21in. but it would cost 3 times as
much. Bottom line is that I'm extremely please
with the CTX, at 800US and free shipping, it's
a good purchase.

hello

I have used many monitors before with the eye3ds.
I agree with kenny that the FD trinitron monitors
are the best ones.

You can get a refurb Sony G500 or E500 for around 500 or 600. You can get the E500 new for that much. The only difference between the two are the dot clock. G500 offers higher resolutions but both generally are close together when it comes down to the refresh rate at each resolution, which is important for 3d viewing. I would recomment getting the E500. A new G500 is way to expensive and you can get the same image quality with an E500.

Or you can get them both cheap if they are refurbs.

GOOD LUCK.

Follow up:
My CTX PR1400F just died. Only after 3 months.
I've called CTX and will have it shipped
back to them since it's under warranty
period with an exchange of repair.
