I finally got my VFX1 working the other day. Its running fine in DOS but so far I can only get it to display in 16 colour mode in windows. Any ideas why this is so? I'm running it with an ASUS AV264CT video card, pretty old, I think it has 2 meg on board. Everytime I set the windows98 display to go beyond 16 colours, the display on the VFX1 goes blank. Any help would be appriciated! |

Quite simply the card does not work in windows with the VFX1! Sorry to say that man! I myself had to go through 5 diff Vid cards to find one that worked all around. What do you know, it was a piece of crap generic cirrus logic that did it! LOL It's just really a pain in the ass, I think IIS still has the list of compatible vid cards up, strangely enough mine is not there! And i know that the 3dfx banshee's will work too, a friend of mine has one and it works perfect... |
