Do You want to hear some exciting news? Russian guys from Interlink (www.interlink.nsk.su)found out that the latest Nvidia 3D Stereo Driver has one secret stereo mode. By some Registry tweaking you can enjoy real stereo in any games using the cheapiest red and green (or red and blue?) anaglyph glasses. All You should do is: 1) Download and install the latest Detonator driver from www.nvidia.com 2) Download and install 3D Stereo driver www.nvidia.com 3) Run Regedit and find HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\NVIDIA Corporation\Global\Stereo3D key 4) Change DWORD Value StereoViewerType from 1 to 80000001 Now You can switch stereo mode with Ctrl-T and use any other settings in 3D Stereo driver control panel. Why nVidia hide this setting? Maybe it's debug mode or maybe this feature will be announced in future releases of reference drivers. Who knows... In any case with this little Interlink hack you can play stereo right now! | ||

That is very cool. All we need now is for NVidia to integrate Akumira technology (http://www.brightland.com/akumira/akumira.htm) for the ultimate red/cyan stereo3D ;-). | ||

By 2003 (THIS year) they already had an option in the control panel for "anaglyph" (in fact they got the option in 2002)... So what answer were you waiting for man?! It's right there in the options... |
