Hi! there My vga is geforce 2mx 32MB system pentium3 933 memory 256M monitor samsung samtron77E When i installed the 12.41 driver,there is no problem to open the display propertity(advance option)but after installed the 12.40 nvida stereo driver,i could'nt open the advance option and system error happened. error message - DESK.CPL Please help me how can i fix this problem. | ||

Yes, I have the same problem and I can`t fix it ant it is because I am still using the old 10.50 detonator (snif). Well, stereovision.net is still off-line (anyone knows what's happened?), and their board on Aimoo is cancelled anyway... Problem with desk.cpl is that the stereo driver doesn't like the international language libraries of the normal NVidia control panel. Just remove any NVRS*.dll from your windows/system directory, and all should be fine. | ||

Perfect! The instalation was finished with exit! MANY THANKS ANDREAS FOR YOU INDICATION!! (ANDREAS FOR PRESIDENT...!!) BUT.... I have still 3 questions or problem (snifff..) FIRST ISSUE : After install the main driver (the 12.41 or the 23.81) I unziped the stereo driver 12.40 in its folder by defect : C:\NVIDIA\Win98_ME_Stereo(12.40) and then following the instructions I did right clik in the file "NVSTEREO.inf" and I did install it... but when I did look for the "stereo tab" nothing had happened! No estereo tab in any place(however the installation did run normally). So I decided to unzip the 10 files of the driver 12.40 directly in the C:\ (no inside in any folder) and this time the instalation had exit Now the first question : ¿WHY I CAN´T INSTALL IT NORMALLY HOW THE REST OF PEOPLE? SECOND ISSUE : I decided install first the detonators 23.81 and then the stereo drivers 12.40 but I got the following mistake : when I activate any of the stereo funtions (enable, enable by hotkey, medical test or the stereo viewer)my system crash So, I decided to install the detonators 12.41 with its stereo drivers 12.40 and now stereo works fine and no crash the system... but the hotkeys doesn`t work in anyway and I can`t fix this "small" problem. When I need to use the stereo I have before to mark the opcion "enable stereo" permanently and close it when I finish the game or aplication. (A thing curiosity : When I had intalled the 23.81 I could enable the stereo using the same GTU 3.02 the which I was using with the old Detonators 10.50) Second question : ¿WHY CRASH MY SYSTEM WHEN I TRY TO ENABLE ANY STEREO USING THE DETONATORS 23.81? AND NOW THE THIRD AND MORE IMPORTANT QUESTION : ¿¿¿HOW THE HELLS CAN I DO TO ENABLE THE HOTKEYS????? How the last time any indication will be most grateful in advance. BTW: I guess you mean 21.83 (last official NVidia relase) ? For #1: Absolutely no idea; it works fine for me. Which Windows version ? There once were problems reported with too long paths for the installation directory, but that shouldn't matter here. Do you have other subdirectories of C:\NVIDIA ? Maybe some translation to 8.3 names had a problem, or the "()" in the filename caused some confusion. If really interested, check Utilities at Sysinternals for regmon and filemon, which will show you all file and registry access during installation. For #2: Absolutely no idea. For #3: Have you tried to define different hotkeys, possibly without CTRL/ALT/Shift etc., since these are often captured by the games ? For president: Sorry, no ambitions.. (though that's a good start, according to Doug Adams;-) - and note that Bad English is the language that's spoken by most people in the world...  | ||

OK, thanks. I will try all the letters of my keyboard one by one (although I think that this isn`t the problem because I have already tried of defining several simple keys as Hotkeys without the "CTRL/ALT/etc" and it still refuses to enable the stereo during the game or aplication)... I will be ocupied with my job the next 4 or 5 days so I will try it this weekend. "It is said in the holy bible that we and only we, the good people, will have ever the worst troubles using ours PCs..." @#!!(*)&%##@! Salutes for all again. Manuel | ||

They contain nationalized versions of the texts in te NVidia display control panel tabs in non-english version of Windows. They usually are included only in 'official' driver releases, so if you installed a 'leaked' intermediate version , you may not have them. If you have a desk.cpl problem with the stereo driver, however, they must have been installed. Check your explorer settings - if you don't see any .DLLs, make sure you have checked 'show all files'. | ||

I have a little problem. i have a Gforce2 Mx/Mx400, i'm using windows xp, on an atlhon 1.1ghz,with 256 ram. and i bought a elsa 3d revelator glasses, i'm using detonator xp 23.11 and sterero.exe (latest version.) i install everything fine... my stereo drivers work(or seems so), i enable my sterero drivers, but. my glases wont do the job..i mean everything is working fine xexpt glasses..(i cant see them doing nothing) i see the flipping on my monitor with or without them..why!?..can anyone help?, i think i just wasted my $$$? |
