Since I am new to this subject and can hardly understand the diverse technologies discussed here, I was wondering if anyone is kind to explain the latest technology on discussion and the terms most commonly used so I can be able to catch on from here on. I realize this may be a pain to you but it would help me and I trust many others as well who get near this discussion forum. maybe the administrator would accept this challenge... |

I am pretty new here too, but would like to find out as much as I can about HMDs, with the view to manufacturing my own. I am an experienced electronic engineer. I'm looking for as detailed info as possible.. who makes the LCDs, how the HMDs are designed etc. Particularly, I am interested in the ocular assembly. How do the different models vary? If there is a lens in front of the LCD, how do the models work that allow HUD style real world view (Sony)?? Surely the world would be out of focus? Please send me any URLs that have detailed information/photos/drawings of the ocular assembly in particular. I think I can handle all of the electronics for stereoscopic, just need the LCDs and (I guess) lenses. Thanks. |
