I´m planning to buy a new GeForce 2Mx based graphic card. I already have pair of revelator glasses (working quite fine with the WinnerII board) and of course I would like to keep them on. Has anybody around tried the generic revelator drivers with GeForce 2MX based graphic cards?? I know there is an Elsa GeForce 2MX board, which I tried to get, but it seems to be out of stock everywhere around :-( (and for a long time on) Inigo |

I have a GeForce 2 GTS and they work great. Sorry, I don't know about the Mx thing. The generic driver for my card took a while to come out and if Elsa has a GeForce 2Mx based card I am sure they would release a generic one later. If they don't then you can email them and see. Even if they do you can still email them. They are pretty good about returning emails in about 2 weeks or less from my experience. |

I have tested one and I have problems. 1. OpenGL - couldn't switch at all in stereo mode (menu not appear(*), switch (-)don't work). Tested on Q3, Half life/OpenGL. 2. D3D - stereo worked and all menu and so on was available; But there was artefacts as blocks, falling out of environment scene (wrong Z-position). They appeared here and there, then stood in place and appeared in another place. Tested on NFS 5 Porshe, F1 Grand Prix, Half life/D3D. Stereo viewer is OK. Do anybody know, what's the matter? About OGL - can it be of Hardware T&L? I have heard it is always on in OGL applications can not be switched off on these boards . With TNT board (ASUS v3400 16Mb) under the same drivers all worked fine (OpenGL and D3D) ASUS v7100 pure (GeForce 2MX 32Mb SDRAM)/Revelator wired/ MB Gigabyte K7ZX (VIA 133 ...) / Duron 600. |

I have a Visiontek GeForce2 MX, and though I don't have the Revelators (I have the Terminators), I have tried the generic drivers. Although I could never get my glass to work with the drivers, I did get the computer itself to page-flip. So it'll probably work fine for you, since you have Elsa's glasses. |

to Kai: And what adout OpenGL? Do you have page-fliping here? PS: update to my configuration: Win98 SE, "ELSA generic NVIDIA 3D REVELATOR driver" v4.12.01.0206-0120 (based on NVIDIA build 530) |

I don't know about OpenGL, sorry. I run all of my games in D3D. |

Hi everybody, I got it! I finally got the Hercules Prophet 2 MX and everything works fine with the generic Elsa revelator drivers. In order to get everything working, I just had to set the refresh rate (with HzTool, as the generic drivers haven't got this option) high enough for the glasses to work. Otherwise, the stereo effect appeared (page flipping), but the glasses didn't flicker at all. I just tried Rogue Squadron and Tachyon The Fringe and both work just perfect in 3d (as well as the Stereoview utility and some demos from Nvidia) Regarding the question from AIG about OpenGL, the revelators don't work in OpenGL mode, except if you have a TNT/TNT2 based card. Otherwise you could use some software to run OpenGL applications using DirectX (with some speed lost, of course) which solves the problem. Take a look at http://www.altsoftware.com/altogl.html (altogl) and http://www.scitechsoft.com/gldirect.html (SciTech's GLDirect). Thanks to everybody for your help, and also thanks to the stereovision.net forum, where I found interesting information regarding this subject. |

I have an MX and revelators..I don't think that T&L is disabled when in stereo mode, because in 3dmark 2000 I have both T&L hardware and T&L software options with the elsa generic revelator drivers.. |
