I'm having the following problem with
Jane's World War 2 Fighters( WW2F):

1. In D3D, the smoke of damaged vehicles/planes
is now non transparent and blocky like 2D
sprites. Previously, this never happened with
either of my G400 or V2 SLI setup. I'd
appreciate very much for information on how
to fix this. It's a damn beautifully games,
too beautiful to be ruined like this. :)

2. So I tried its OPENGL option. Fortunately,
OPENGL does not shows this phenomenon. Its
smoke is wispy, transparent and smokelike.
Non of those 2D sprites as in D3D mode.
However, the problem with
OPENGL mode is I can NOT induce stereoscopic
mode ! Is there a secret button to do this ?
I've turned on the stereo switch in OPENGL
mode, do I have to do anything else to get it
turned on ?

TIA,
kb

I think your problem is the resolution of the monitor and the refresh rate.
As far as i know, your monitor (in opengl) has to support at least 1280*960 at 100hz to make the 3d in 640 * 480 50 hz per eye.
I aslo heard this will be fixed in a later edition of the drivers.
I also can play d3d, but not opengl, and my monitor (iiyama) takes me to 1024*786 at 100 hz, and 1280*960 at 75 hz. Resolution is ok, refresh rate not.
Hope it helps you

I run WWIIF at 1600x1200x120Hz using glide2 and Sync doubling. Everything on high. great frame rate. I had the asus card for about a week. didn't like it. Voodoo5 just went down to $170.
I agree, it is a beautiful game. I like the mouse view function.

In the .ini file change megs of texture memory from "2" to your boards memory size. I'm playing at 1600x1200x120Hz, glide2, sync-doubling, everything on high and still getting 30+ fps
