I'm just getting started with LCD shutter glasses for stereoscopic viewing. My main goal is to be able to make and view stereoscopic pictures and short videos. I have succeeded in viewing 3D pictures with the shutter glasses, but only in line blank mode. I'd like to get the full resolution of page flip mode, but so far have been unsuccessful. My system: Shutter glasses are Eye3D. The utility "Eye3D activator" is used to select the stereo viewing mode. Operating system: Windows 2000 with all available updates. Video chip is an Nvidia Riva TNT2 Model 64.l CPU: 1.2 GHz AMD Athalon. Video driver: Nvidia detonator 30.87 Stereo driver: Nvidia version 30.87 (I first tried the most recent versions of the above video drivers, but they didn't work. (didn't even get the "stereo properties" tab on the video setup window.) I then followed some of the advice in this forum and went to version 30.87 of both drivers. Most obvious symptom: When doing the Nvidia "medical test" my monitor shows two completely separate rectangles, one on the left half the screen and the other on the right. Viewing utilities like depthcharge don't give me an option to view in page flip mode. Can anyone help? Am I missing a critical utility program or driver? I've read that the TNT2 doesn't support OpenGL. Is that the problem? Many utilities I've looked at say they only support Win 95/98. I'd also like recommendations on a reasonable program that will combine 2 pictures or 2 .avi files to make 3d. My glasses came with utilities, but they only support interlaced mode and I really want the full resolution of page flip mode. Thanks |
