Hi, I have an ECS K7VTA3v3.1 mobo(Via Kt333), XP1800 cpu, 768mbDDR2100, Geforce 4 mx 440 64mb, and Win98se and I can't get my glasses to stay on for more than 2 seconds. They are from I-Glasses and I have both the Y-dongle and the Cruiser dongle. I get the same problem with either dongle. When I start the test program, they come on and shutter for about 2 seconds and then stop shuttereing. If I decrease the refresh rate, they will stay on for a little longer, but still stop after a few seconds. I took the glasses to a friends house with a similar system but different mobo(ECS K7S5A) and they worked just fine. I've tried every version of nvidia drivers, reinstalled windows 2 times, called I-glasses tech support(no help at all), and tried every combination of settings in the bios to make them work...but nothing! :-( Does anyone have any Idea how to make them work with this mobo or has anyone been able to get them to work with this mobo? PLEASE HELP!!!! Foxx |

The glasses-controller is driven by the VGA-board, not the Mobo. Do you have the wired or wireless version? What do you mean by Y-dongle? A revelator type cable or the standard i-glasses game controller? If you have the wireless glasses there may be a strong IR-source which disturbs the signal. If you're using the nVidia stereo driver there may be an incompatibility with your monitor (Revelator-Trigger vs. Monitor-DDC conflict). Try to activate the glasses with the activator program from the i-glasses site and try other modes like line-blanking and sync-doubling, just to see if the glasses are physically O.K. Christoph |

I'll try what you recommend and thanks for the reply. I had the same thought about the IR. I have IR on the motherboard, but I don't know how to turn it off. I don't think its the monitor. I do have the wireless version and have tried the activator program but it didn't help. Thanks , Foxx |
