Hi, I am using the Elsa Revelator glasses, WinME and the new driver combination 43.03. In the setup section I set 1024x768 to 140hz and check the button "set the resetrate for all resolutions". The medical test works fine with 140hz, but when starting a game, the rate is 60 hz. In all resolutions. The only combination, which works perfectly with 140hz, are the two 30.87er originals. But with all newer Stereodriver, only 90hz are offered to me in the resolutions 640x480 and 800x600. Only in 1024x768 I can choose up to 200hz. Theoretically the driver should get the correct values from the monitor driver, but something seems to be absolutly wrong. I really can't understand, why it doesn't work anymore. Isn' it strange that the medical test run with 140hz in 640x480, although the stereodriver just offers me 90hz ? Thanks for help, Zaphod B |

Does the game override default refresh rates? I know some games will unless you change an option which is usually in some ini file. Another alternative: change your monitor driver to "default monitor" "plug and play monitor" or your specific monitor, if it's on the list and not already that way. |

Yes, I know what you mean, but I get 60hz in every game when I start the 3D driver, even in 3D mark 2001. The monitor is known by the OS and the newest Iiyama driver is in use. But I'll check the pnp monitor stuff. Thanks anyway. |

It even overrides a custom timing from Powerstrip. Is there any way to turn these stereo refresh rates off? |

> with all newer Stereodriver, only 90hz are >offered to me in the resolutions 640x480 and >800x600. Only in 1024x768 I can choose up to >200hz. Exactly the same situation. 90hz in 640x480, 800x600 and up to wery big hz in high res. Win98SE, Duron 1200, VIA KT333, GeGorce3 Ti200, Det 43.45 + stereo 43.03. It's definitely the new driver(s) problem. 30.82+30.87 was ok. What about Win2000/XP - is there the same problem? |

I seem to have solved this problem, by registry editing. You mast go to your display mode settings and add info from mode for example [32\1024,768] òî modes [32\800,600], [32\640,480]. It's no need to edit 16-bit modes, 'cause driver will take them from 32-bit sets. I set "always use stereo refresh rate" off. This is .reg with my changes: ------------- REGEDIT4 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\Class\Display\0001\MODES\32\800,600] @="60,70,72,75,85,100,112,120,140,144,150,170,200" "StereoRefreshRate"="100" "ModeRefreshRateList"="60,70,72,75,85,100,112,120,140,144,150,170,200" "RefreshRate"="100" -------------- IMHO this is 43.03 stereo driver bug. |
