Hi All,

I loaded the new Wicked3d Drivers onto my system, and when I start up CFS2, I get an error:

CFS2 caused an invalid page fault in
module CFS2.EXE at 0167:0041a0b9.

I have now idea what this means. I have found when I go into PROGRAM CLOSE and shut down "Mbinit.exe" I can get into the game but can't activate the 3D. I don't know if any of this is related or not.

I've been told that a Sim that doesn't use the z-buffer will not produce 3D, I don't know whether CFS2 fits that discription. I can activate 3D in games such as WWII fighters, USAF, Fighter Sqadron, and European Air War. This is my first Microsoft Sim, what a bummer. Can anyone help? I've become addicted to this 3D thing.

Thanks.

Jim

I don't know much about Combat Flight Simulator and Wicked3D drivers, but stero drivers usually get the depth info from Z-Buffer. Flight Simulators usally don't use Z-Buffer and thus cannot be displayed in stereo.

I had the beta of CFS 2 workign with an older version of the eyeSCREAM drivers and it worked fairly well however since I have upgraded to the 4.12 drivers I have had the same page faults as you are experiencing. I have gotten it to work with VRCAddyME and the Generic Revelator drivers on my GeForce 2 GTS, though, with the Revelators the 2d cockpit only shows up in the left eye and therefore flickers terribly.

For what it's worth. I got CFS2 run well
with Asus7700 Deluxe in D3D stereoscopic
mode. The cockpits were all 3D as I
recall even though it's been a while since
I played it.

I should also re-add that I found that setting the frame buffer access to both eyes makes it work flawlessly with the REVELATOR drivers.
