At a Computer fair last weekend, I couldn't resist to pick up some piece of hardware called 'The Owl' by Pegasus Tech., Israel, which is a 3D input device with ultrasonic tracking, consisting of a frame with 3 emitters (supposed to sit on your monitor) and a small emitter with 2 buttons to be attached to your finger. See here: http://www.vrclub.at/cybzin/3dmax.htm As you could tell, there were no drivers, and all I could find on the web was that this thing was also sold as Ringmouse/Cybermouse/3DCyberBat/FreeD Joystick (maybe more), none of which is supported anymore (or companies are gone for good). Best I could find was a (apparently early Win95) ringmouse driver via archive.org - amazing that they even archive some downloads! Anyone out there who owns such a device and could provide me with another driver to play with? (do not mail directly - mailbox is Swen-blocked, ignoring any larger messages) |
