I've bought this glasses yesterday at an Pc event in Holland..normally priced 99 dollars, now around the 50/60. Ok here goes : I work with Windows Xp pro , version 2002. Geforce 3 graphics card etc... With the glasses i got an software/driver cd...which actually didn't work cause it didn't have ANY Win Xp support on it...nothing was to be found on wicked3d for Xp neither. I fixed this problem by download the Stereo drivers at Nvidia's site. from there on i kept following the manual....now we got this medical test image in the 3D stereo display options...here goes: When my dad puts on the glasses he really sees the box in 3D, he really want to touch it...it's like the box comes out of the screen, same happened with my moms when she put the glasses on. Now when i put it on...weird enough...i just see the box completely flat and NOTHING 3D to be seen here, same counts for my brother....what is this??? | ||

You should probably look at the image for a while if this is the first time you try looking at a stereoscopic image. The longer you look at it (but you really don't have to try longer than 1 minute) the more 3D it should become. If you still don't get the right image there are two possibilities: 1) for some strange reason you can't really concentrate on the images causing the 3D effect to get lost (although I've never heard of anyone having this problem), or 2) there's something wrong with your eyes because of which you have no or only limited depth sight (which is still quite rare also). The problem is in any case not the hardware nor the software, since your parents DID see the effect... | ||

Yes, exactly. It's very weird..my brother and i still can't see. Also my vision is quite a bit much better than both my moms and dad's. I've tested that by sitting at a certain distance and trying to read very small letters , i could do that..my parents couldn't . I've asked around on Dutch forums here too, i've spoken to someone who had the exact same...he didn't see anything .... he did tell me he once had a "lazy" eye...that's what we call it. I have had that too...but i ain't sure if that's the cause. So what i'm gonna do and what is advised to me is to go see someone who checks your eyes and gets results from. | ||

What about the medical image? Were you able to see the smaller square inside the larger? Also, did you try and adjust the separation down, say in the stereo test app to see if it helped? If these don't help, your course of action to see an expert is well advised. | ||

Well, it's weird now...I do kinda see depth in games now..Hitman 2 shows depth...also with Operation Flashpoint the character really seems to be standing almost out of the monitor screen...so that's good..still the medical test image is NOT working for me...so i should quit with the game and see an expert tomorrow , yeah. I can't use the seperation options when in medical test image..however when in games i really change the depth/3D effect...the ghost like thing either goes into the character hitman or comes out from it....still it seems very tiring for my eyes. I shouldn't continue with testing games, especially cause that medical test said to quit with everything if i didn't see that second square...and nope i don't see it. However i do get to see depth-effects in games now. I'll be back tomorrow to keep ya posted. |
