Hello gentlemen, yesterday I bought 3D glasses but unfortunately they don't quite work. There is a ghost image that makes the image too blurry to be a comfort. To make it clear, I am not talking about the normal ghost image which comes without the glasses. If I shut one of my eyes with the glasses on, I can still see a fainter ghost image of the image that was meant for the other eye. This should not happen because the stereo effect is created by flipping different images for each eye, right? Right. I am not sure what is the problem but it is driving me insane and I'll probably return the glasses if I can't work it out. I do see 3D, but with the ghost images it is too disturbing to be a pleasure. On top of that, the NVidia medical test image or other 3D viewing related test programs do not work. They just crash when I try launching them. Oddly enough, games work just fine except the ghost image artifact. My card is Gf4200, DirectX is 8.1. I have tried both the newest NVidia stereo driver as well as the 44.03 driver that is available from Gainward's site without any luck. Anyone know what is going on, and what could I do about it? |

I have Gainward glasses too and unfortunately i guess ghost image is common for them. Tho i wasnt expecting anything more for like around $25 while high-end glasses prices are ten times bigger I see blurred ghost image as well, and i suppose that pass-thorough thingy is responsible for this feeding glases with wrong voltage and discharge isnt too good as well. I was playing with simple 9V battery and some resistors connected to small jack and i was getting better blackouts than when plugged into Gainwards controller. I think that making own simple switch with regulated voltage and plugging it between glasses jack and controlers socket could help. But i didnt have time to make such thing as im using this setup only for testing purposes. Maybe somebody who have high-end expensive glases and cheap Gainwards could verify this thing, if ghosting is much worse. Cheers. Misiek |
